Prairie Star Quilt Guild

Ilene Bartos

Ilene discovered quilting a number of years ago when a friend invited her to a guild meeting and she has been hooked ever since.  When she was in school (eons ago) art classes were her favorite because they were so much more fun than math (ugh) or history.  Ilene also learned to sew when she was young and enjoyed clothing construction until she lost interest when she went back to work full time in 1991.

Ilene now spend her days working on new designs for her pattern line.

Quilting combines her passion for color with her love of fabric and gives her infinite possibiliites for creative expression.  It is a wonderful medium and she can’t imagine ever losing interest.  She is happy to share her story with all of us.
