Volunteer Opportunities
John Heywood got it exactly right! If we all pitch in, the work is easy!!
At each meeting we have many opportunities where you can contribute to the Guild. Most of these requests are single meeting commitments, similar to the snacks/treats list we circulated at each meeting pre-pandemic.
This is a great opportunity to lend a hand and meet new friends! We’ll see you at the next meeting!!
Setup and cleanup of room for meetings.
- Arrive one hour before the meeting to help rearrange tables and chairs, retrieve items from storage area at the church.
- Stay for a few minutes after the meeting to dispose of any debris on the floor/chairs.
Table sitters
- Assist at tables when needed. For example, vacation fill-in or extra help needed to high volume of activity (think of signing up for the banquet or renewing your membership). Areas that need occasional assistance include membership, community projects, programs, library,
Carpool Buddies
- Provide a ride for a member who doesn’t drive. The Board will have a list of people requesting rides.
Free table cleanup
- After the evening meeting, straighten the table in preparation for the AM meeting.
- After the morning meeting, consolidate the item for transport and recycle any empty cardboard boxes.
Membership
- New member buddy. Be available for 30 minutes before the PM or AM meeting to befriend a new member around the room and explaining each of the table activities. Answer questions or direct them to someone who can answer their question.
