Retreats are usually held at retreat centers. Typically 3 or 4 days and when possible encompass a long weekend. Participants work on their own projects; take field trips to local quilt shops, etc. This is a great time to get to know other members of the Guild that you normally do not have a chance to mingle with.
A Fall retreat is held every other year (in the years alternating with our biennial quilt show).
A Winter/Spring retreat is held annually, most often in March.
Other:
These ad hoc events have included “Black Friday” open sewing afternoons on the Friday after Thanksgiving, and occasional Tuesday afternoon sew-ins on Guild meeting days when no afternoon workshops are scheduled.
