Youth Challenge Quilt Block

Entry Form

Members of the Prairie Star Quilt Guild believe in supporting and promoting quilt makers of the next generation. The Youth Challenge blocks are made by young people, under the guidance of a guild member. Youth entrants are between the ages of 4-18.

Guidelines:

Blocks are to be constructed by the student.

The block can be an original design or based on an existing pattern.

We encourage the student to create a 12½” unfinished block (also known as a flimsy) but will accept blocks 10”-14” in size.

Blocks may be hand or machine pieced. Additional embellishments may be used. Adhesives may be used, but there must be stitching within the block. Either hand or machine stitches are acceptable.

There is a $5.00 entry fee, paid by the sponsoring guild member, due by the September guild meeting.

Quilt block must be submitted by the September guild meeting with the entry form pinned to the block.

The entree has free admission to the show. An admission ticket will be given to share with a friend or family member.
